Valley Voices Story Slam: First Time

Come out and hear some outrageous, funny and heartwarming stories all told in under 5 minutes, live on stage! The audience chooses the winner and a storytelling star is born! The winners of each slam go on to compete in the The Best of Valley Voices at the Academy of Music in January.

Storytellers will compete and be selected based on the strength of their first line of a story they submit via voicemail to a selected phone number, and will be invited to share their story live at one of Valley Voices four chosen locations. The selected storytellers are then encouraged to attend a free storytelling workshop, which will help to cultivate their personal stories into performances of about 5 minutes in length.

Finalists will then perform their stories, and the audience will select 3 finalists out of 10 to then perform at the Academy of Music for the final round. All finalists will then get to perform their stories to a full audience at the Academy of Music Northampton to a crowd of 800 people who will then select the final winner.
